Merry Christmas

It is Christmas afternoon here in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and I can't believe that the season is coming to an end. Whitney and I slept in until 11am which we were thrilled about because we stayed up until 2am making our very first Christmas video on youtube.... we thought it would be fun for our loved ones since we can't be with them. It actually took us longer to figure out how to put it on youtube than it did actually making it. So far we have had such a fantastic Christmas. We made eggs, bacon and cinnamon rolls and then opened up our stockings that Mom made for us. We then opened up our very few presents that we had underneath our tree. Brittany Bagwell gave us an array of very thoughtful gifts:) And Whitney and I, believe it or not went shopping last night - on Christmas Eve - we decided at the last minute that it wouldn't feel like Christmas without gifts under the tree. We tried so hard to focus on the joys of the Holiday season, like the birth of Jesus, counting our blessings, watching Holiday movies, but one major thing about the season was missing... we needed gifts under the tree. We realized that it's okay to want presents - after all - that is how we grew up - that is what we are accustomed to. Later this afternoon we are going to see the movie musical "Nine" with Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, and Daniel Day Lewis. We'll let you all know what we think. Whitney has a family tradition where they always go see a movie on Christmas Day, I hope we have chosen a good one to go see. Right now we are watching the original "Miracle on 34th Street" it's funny to see inside of their apartment - it's a lot like ours in New York. Old radiators for heat, small kitchens, no dishwashers, and small bathrooms. We can't wait to be with our family in January! It's going to be the best!!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone
