Sorry.... It has been awhile since our last post but Whitney and I have been extremely busy with decision making and figuring out what do to with our lives. We both finally received our contracts from Sight & Sound for the 2010 season. We had hoped that we would both be contracted for the new show of "Joseph," however, we instead got offers for the smaller show of "Psalms of David." It would be in the same theater Whitney has been performing in (the black box). Right when we opened our contracts we were discouraged, disappointed, and feeling overall saddness. The main reason why was because we haven't connected with anyone in this company and we wouldn't start rehearsals until March 22nd. So if we were to say yes we would be unemployed for 2.5 months. The contract is for 6 months though and would help us save money and prepare us for the Big Apple which is where we know we ultimately want to be.
Overtime the Lord revealed to us that our hearts wanted to be in NYC way sooner than the fall of next year and we have decided to move to NY January 3rd 2010. We are extremely excited for this huge change in our lives and feel extraordinarily blessed to have the opportunity to go. Both of us realize that we are taking a huge leap of faith but we feel confident that this is where God is leading us. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for this new journey and also that Sight & Sound receives the news with open hearts and open minds because we would love to come back in the future. We are currently working on finding apartments right outside of Manhattan and getting connected with agencies so we can begin our marathon of auditioning! We are headed there this Sunday and Monday to look around / learn a lot / and visit our friends who live there. Yes, it is time to start eating rice and beans and using candles. I imagine that we will be learning more than one thing per day and I can't picture experiencing it all without the love of my life. Marriage is a dream!
