Our First Home as Newlyweds

When we got back from our honeymoon it was a Sunday night and we had to get on the road for Lancaster, Pennsylvania by 6am Monday morning.  It is a 10 hour drive to Lancaster from Cleveland and we wanted to get there before dark and before the office closed so that we could get our keys.  Luckily Fred and Shirley were gracious enough to load up all of our stuff in the u-haul trailer they rented.  They were life-savers!  There would have been absolutely NO ROOM for all of our clothes, wedding gifts, etc, etc, if we didn't have this trailer attached to our car.  It was incredible, and Fred, you're absolutely right... driving that thing in reverse is nearly impossible!  We arrived to Lancaster with our POD waiting for us to unload; we couldn't have been more excited to move all of our stuff into our new place.  I had my best man's uncle and aunt help us move in - they were angels:)

Here is what saved us from a lot of hassle - we would have had to ship all of our gifts. The weather was perfect the whole way coming up.

PODS are amazing everyone - if you need to move get a POD.  It wasn't that expensive either.

We were so excited to be moving in together:)

Our amazing angels (Uncle Myron & Aunt Pam) even borrowed a truck for us to get our mattresses.

HERE IT IS our NEW HOME for the next 3 months! 424 Bentley Ridge Blvd. Lancaster, PA 17602

This is our pretty small but still amazing living room.

I certainly had my work cut out for me for the next couple of weeks!

There is more stuff in our bedroom as well....yikes....

Making some progress - as you can see we now have a dining room table.  This is Whitney screwing in a hook to hang a chandelier.

We love our new place!  It's the perfect size for the two of us starting out.  We think all of our stuff makes this room look a lot bigger than when it's empty.

This is right when you walk in - and this is connected to the living room.

Kitchen - we tried to do a red accent theme type thing throughout.

We still need a headboard, new curtains, and frames on the walls.

Last but not least - laundry room.

Well thank you so much for seeing our crib we hope you enjoyed the tour!

It looks so good! I was thinking you didnt have much furniture, etc... but you guys have done an awesome job. It looks so "homey" already! Love the transformation of the living room in pictures and the bedspread looks beautiful! Can't wait to see it in person! I'm working on uploading a video and the disney blog is up so stay-tuned.
