We got in Thursday night and spent the evening eating, talking with family, playing with Cameron and Andrew (our most adorable nephews) and playing games! On Friday we decided to eat at Olive Garden for lunch. Nathan and I LOVE Olive Garden and were so glad we got to taste those yummy breadsticks and all you can eat soup and salad - YUM! After getting full with Italian food, the older 'kids' decided to go to the IMAX to see the movie, 'Inception'. It was actually pretty good, but very very confusing. Definitely a movie that you need to see more than once. That evening we played games at the house and played with our nephews of course!
On Saturday morning, Nathan's sisters Karen and Christine walked a 7 mile race (the Bix) and did it in their record time! Around noon, we went to meet more of Nathan's extended family at the YMCA to go swimming in their amazing indoor pool, that has an awesome slide! We were surrounded by tons of little kids who wanted to go down the slide over and over. Andrew, who turns two in November and Cameron who is 1 year old even went down the slide! They are such fearless big boys! Andrew kept saying "more"!
After we swam, we all went back to the house and took quick naps and then got dressed for a family picture outside on Nathan's parent's backyard lawn. Saturday evening we went and saw the community theatre's performance of ANNIE. This show was double special because A. Nathan's parents, Mark and Beth were in the show! and B. This is the theatre and company that Nathan performed in when he was growing up. Nathan and I were beaming with smiles throughout the entire performance. Beth's smile lit up the entire auditorium every time she hit the stage and Mark was making the whole audience laugh with his amazing supporting role performance of Drake, the butler! We couldn't have been more proud! We are super blessed to have parents like Beth and Mark who truly understand our performance lives because they love to perform too!!
Here are some pictures from the weekend:
Andrew was so sweet with 'baby' cameron. He would hug and kiss him and say "hey babe-eee!"
Beth brought us where all the geese and ducks come! I was a little nervous...
Andrew is a little flirt, whenever I would smile at him he would lift his shoulders and smile so big back at me!
Andrew loves his uncle Nathan! (they were jumping in this picture)
Aunt Millie (Beth's sister) cut Cameron's hair while he was asleep!
I'm in love with Cameron, he is sooooo precious.
We were tickling Andrew in this pic
