Finally Feeling Normal

I am finally back to normal! I got sick and it lasted 9 days until I finally realized that it was a sinus infection. I started to get the hint when the cold moved to my eye and Shirley Garmon texted telling me that I needed to get on an antibiotic. Thanks to Marissa, I got better the next day and now I am very happy to announce I am healthy. I have my voice back and I'm not blowing green goobers out of my nose anymore:) Thank you to all who were concerned and prayed for my recovery - it truly helped.

This week has really flown by for us. I can't believe that it's already Friday! I think what has helped our week speed by is the fact that we've been keeping up with television. I have always hated being sucked into tv but now that we have a tivo it's quite impossible to not want to record our favorite shows. Whitney and I watched the Bachelor. We were utterly disappointed in the outcome but are excited for Ali to be the new Bachelorette. We keep up with American Idol - we are rooting for Didi Benami who graduated from Belmont (we don't know her personally), Andrew Garcia, Crystal Bowersox, Katelyn Epperly, Siobhan Magn, Lilly Scott, and Casey James. We think the girls are definitely stronger than the guys this year. I'm gonna say right now I think the top two will be Crystal and Lilly.
We watch Lost - the final season! And last but not least Grey's Anatomy. We're very excited for the Oscars this Sunday - can't wait to see who wins best Actress / Actor / Best Picture.

Quick cool little fact: The lead actress in the movie "Precious" Gabourey Sidibe is up for Best Actress and she lives across from us. We saw her walking down the street the other day.

This is a picture of her in the movie - we didn't take this:) haha

On Tuesday Whitney and I got 4 student rush tickets front row for the musical "Memphis" on Broadway. We went with a church friend Petra and her friend Jonathan. They were here for a few days because they got invited to go to the UN for women's equality. They are in High school so what an opportunity. Anyway, they had never been to New York before and we argued that they couldn't leave NY without seeing a show! It was phenomenal.

We've had a really great week.

I saw the movie Precious and I just finished the book PUSH. I love them both. Well "love" is an odd way to describe something so gritty, but they're both really eye-opening. And I love Gabourey Sidibe. You're so lucky!

so glad you're better!! the week flew by for us too for some reason. Im looking forward to the weekend because it's supposed to be in the 60's!

How cool that "Precious" lives across from you! I havent seen the movie yet. I like to wait and watch in it in home theatre!

My two favs on American Idol are 1)Crystal 2)Lilly but I also like the blonde guy that Kara likes and especially the Garcia guy if he could get his act together. And of course Im for Didi since shes from Knoxville and went to Belmont, plus I LOVE her voice and style. She just seems a little emotional and not ready yet.

Memphis looks fantastic! I dont know how I'll ever choose which show to see when I come!!
