Well now that it's been a month or so since the bugs we can forget and move on. Yes, Whitney and I at the end of December in our Lancaster apartment discovered that we had bed bugs. You guys... it's an awful thing to experience! We moved into our apartment in Late September and had bought a brand new never been used queen bed. It was glorious - we loved sleeping in that bed. About 2 months later around Thanksgiving time Whitney started to get these red itchy bumps on her arm and torso. We went to the doctor and they thought that she had some type of bacteria thing so they gave her an antibiotic to fight off any sort of infection. It only began to get worse and then a bulls-eye target appeared on her wrist. We immediately went back to the doctor and he diagnosed her with lymes disease. She went on an antibiotic for lymes disease for 3 weeks. The target went away but she continued to get more and more bumps and red welts on her stomach, just mainly on her upper body. We then went to a dermatologist who gave her a shot of cortisone and itching cream and some pills. A week or so before this appointment we went shopping for another queen bed for our guest bedroom in our new apartment in Queens, NY. Oddly enough, the guy who sold us the bed, we found out that his sister lived in our apartment right before us, he said that she had a dog. Well, we then concluded that maybe our apartment had flees. We bought a fogger and carpet flee cleaner and went to town. That night, Whitney spotted black things on our box spring. Yup, we had bed bugs this entire time and somehow I was either not getting bitten or I wasn't allergic to their bites. We ended up throwing away our entire bedroom - it was awful!

oh friends! I so well know your pain. I got them at the Gaylord Opryland (yes a 5 star hotel) in Dallas TX and it is AWFUL! I was so nervous that I brought them into the house from the hotel once I got back. Luckily I didn't, but I slept on an airmattress in the living room for a week. I check the hotel I stay in with a flash light every single time now. You should really really make sure that you didn't bring them to the new place...they can hide in nightstands & other furniture too! I'm so sorry you experienced that.
