Update

Nathan's Post:
I can't believe almost half of 2011 has past. Next week is June?? Ahhh - I'm turning 25! Crazy!! Whit and I have been wanting to post pictures of our Maine trip with Shirley and Fred but we keep forgetting. I'm sure most of you have seen either on Shirley's blog or fbook. Needless to say we had a great time and we plan on posting soon about that trip. We leave in two days for Ft. Lauderdale, FL for a week long beach trip with the Garmon's!!! We are soo excited and ready to leave the city. We jump at any opportunity we can to leave New York. We don't hate it here but we definitely need breaks from it - I would say whats becoming every month.
This year so far has been one of the hardest for me. My acting career hasn't really gone anywhere for 2011. At the beginning of the year I experienced some awesome auditions and callbacks. Then I was sick every second and now I'm shaking my head wondering where the time has gone and what in the world have I done with it? Time in New York is just SOO different than at any other place. Since it takes so long traveling to and from place it can become exhausting and you end up just staying home watching movies because it's overwhelming even planning your day. The main issue is the weather. When the weather is crappy in New York - you don't want to do anything. So far this year, we've probably had 10 beautiful days. Out of 142 days -  we've had 10 good weather days. I'm sure that is an exageration, but thats what its felt like.

Here is an update on our auditions that have recently happened.
Whitney - is being considered for the Shrek non-equity National Tour and has her final callback June 1st.
She got to the final callbacks for the role of Roxie for Chicago at an equity theatre in Media, PA. Won't know anything until another week or so. She is on a strong hold for the South Pacific non-equity National Tour... we're all still confused as to what that means.
Me - I got to the final callbacks for the role of Abraham for Altar Boyz at an equity theatre in upstate New York at Westchester Broadway Theatre. Got an email from Disney casting wanting me for another callback for the role of Marlin in Finding Nemo in mid June.

We are both performing in a Songbook Series tomorrow night. Singing music by our friend Joel Waggoner. I met him at University of Northern Iowa and he is one of the most talented people I know. He got his masters last year at NYU for musical theatre composition and we've kept in touch! Click here to read about the concert. We're going to hopefully get someone to video so we can post on youtube and share with you all.

Awesome post! So good to hear what's happening with the call-backs! I think you have both made great progress this year. Seems like you are getting a heap of call-backs for somer really great roles and theaters. I'm excited to see you both in two days!!!!
